Spike and his brothers
and sisters were strays that were living behind a restaurant. The owner
wanted the cats removed because of the busy roads around the area. Spike's
brother Toby had been hit by a car and his back leg broken when they
were rescued by APAWS. Spike and his family were brought into a foster
home, and it was discovered that these sweet kids were total love bugs.
Apparently, we found out later, that one of the employees of the restaurant
would spend all of his free time with the cats which was why they were
so human friendly.
We were contacted
by a lady who needed a companion for her current cat. Apparently canine
companionship was just not enough for her fiesty feline. Spike and his
family were brought over to meet her furry kids and a connection was
instantly made. Spike found a new family recently with this wonderful
woman and her cat Barley, and her dog Sam. She sent us photographs of
the sweet boy with his new "siblings". Spike's real brothers
and sisters are still up for adoption. Below the current photographs
is a photograph of Spike with his biological family.
