Adoption Day
Want to spend time on the weekends playing with our furry friends? APAWS is a volunteer-based animal rescue and we need people like you to come out on the weekends and volunteer your time to help us find homes for the cats and dogs in our group. We hold adoption days almost every Saturday at the PetSmart off of Siegen Lane. Even a few hours on a Saturday will be a huge help! PetSmart provides cage space within their stores to give our cats more exposure. We need volunteers to clean the cages at night and give the kitties a little love while they wait for their forever homes. We have cats in both the PetSmart on Airline and the PetSmart off of Siegen Lane. This is the perfect opportunity if you want to help, but only have a couple hours in the middle of the week.
Fundraising
APAWS relies on donors and fundraisers to support our rescue efforts. We need volunteers to assist with organizing fundraisers. This is the perfect opportunity if you want to help the dogs and cats, but aren't available on Saturdays.
Foster Care
Without our foster parents we wouldn't be able to house the animals for adoption. Fosters open their homes to pets in need until they find their forever home. By fostering you are making a world of difference for that dog or cat.
